Product Description

The Kanguru Defender Elite200™ is an industry leader as a secure, manageable flash drive. Designed to address strict industry security standards, this encrypted flash drive is ideal for carrying sensitive government or corporate information.  It combines several high level hardware encryption models and certifications, robust anti-virus and tamper-resistant protections, as well as remote management capabilities for the most comprehensive security solution available in an encrypted flash drive.

FIPS 140-2 Level 2 Certified

The Kanguru Defender Elite200 has been independently tested and certified to FIPS 140-2, Level 2 standards.  FIPS 140-2 is a rigorous federal security accreditation program managed by the National Institute of Standards and Technology, and sets the standard for encryption modules intended for use in protecting sensitive government information.

Common Criteria EAL2+

The Defender Elite200 flash drive is in process to meet Common Criteria EAL2+ standards. Common Criteria is an accreditation process adopted by over 24 different certifying nations, and is a much wider review process of the overall product design and functionality than FIPS. It covers the product from its inception to final product and overall use.

256-bit AES Hardware Encryption

Hardware encryption is the backbone of the Defender Elite200's security, providing top tier performance unmatched by software encryption solutions. In addition, Password matching and security functions are contained in the cryptographic chip, meaning that the encryption can't be circumvented, further ensuring your data is secure.

Onboard Anti-Virus

Every Kanguru Defender Elite200 comes with an integrated onboard anti-virus (30-day FREE trial).  Built into the drive, this feature prevents the Kanguru Defender Elite200 from being used as a vehicle for transporting viruses and malware. The anti-virus can also be used to scan the host computer(s), in effect becoming a portable anti-virus solution for every PC you work on.

Tamper Proof Design

The Kanguru Defender Elite200 casing is filled with an epoxy compound that is water resistant and prevents physical access to the chip. Any attempt to remove the epoxy compound destroys the flash chip, rendering it unusable and inaccessible.

Remotely Manageable

Using Kanguru Remote Management Console (KRMC), this optional feature gives you the ability to control your Defender Elite200 secure flash drive(s) from anywhere in the world. Remotely delete drives that have been lost or stolen, manage passwords (strength, updates and remote resets), and ensure compliance with set security policies and much more.
